Minnedosa Bowl youth bowlers including a 1-2 sister act dominated at the 2017 M5PBA Youth Challenge at the Carman 5 Pin Bowl on December 2nd. Suade Moyer of Minnedosa and Matthew Dunn, a resident of Brandon that bowls out of the Minnedosa Bowl youth program, led the way in the scratch competition, averaging 200 and 225 respectively. Both bowlers took home $500 post-secondary scholarships to go with their gold medals
Rounding out the All-Star team advancing to the C5PBA Youth Challenge National finals in Ottawa are Payton Moyer, Curtis Madden, and Faith Clarke, all of Minnedosa, and Maddox Wilson of Carman. Payton and Curtis were awarded $300 scholarships, with Faith and Maddox earning $200 scholarships to further their future education.
Coaches Alan Tarn of Minnedosa and Sylvia Swaenepoel of Carberry were named team coaches at the end of evening awards ceremony, and will be responsible for preparing the team for the trip to the Nation's Capital in March.
